Together with my brother we have a beautiful hostel in the industrial city of San Pedro Sula where we make transfers to the most visited places by tourists, providing transportation service since arriving in the city, we make tours around the country, visited the magical Mayan ruins, here you can practice rafting, canopy, hiking, cloud forest, snorkeling, the more cheap and beatiful diving..
we would like to offer the following tour with you...!
Overview:
This trip showcases the most beatiful aspects of Honduras; the land and its people. Copan ruins is the most important archeological site in the country.
This famous Maya City has endured thanks to a long line of 16 rulers who built the most artistic and poweful city south of the Maya culture. We will witness the Temazcal, a magical mystical ceremony style of the ancient Maya. Visit Lake of Yogoa with a variety of plants species, it is not surprising that 407 species of bird live in or near this area. Take in the breathtaking waterfall Pulhapanzak - a stunning waterfall 43 meters high - where we fly like birds in the treetops down from the mountains in the Canopy.
**Minimum of 4 travellers required on this trip**
Itenerary:
Day 1
We'll pick you up at the San Pedro Sula International Airport. On our way to the hotel we will give you an introduction to the more popular sites. We'll visit the Guamilito market, one of the most representative sites of the country's industrial city. We'll finish the day with a tasty barbeque featuring typical food from Honduras (beans, tortillas, cheese, vegetables, chilli peppers) served with good cold Honduran beer.
Spend the night in the lovely Guaras Hostel (rooms with a/c, bathrooms, cable tv, and Wifi). It is located in a very beautiful part of the city.
Day 2
This morning we arise early and begin our drive to the Copan Ruins at 6:00 am.
We'll spend the morning visiting these ruins and the center of Mayan culture - archaeological park. We'll go from there for a walk along the cobbled streets of the nearby village.
Bask in the relaxation of your choice of spa treatment at a local spa. Choose from:
- Steam bath
- Mud bath
- Body bath fruit
- French clay mask
*A drink is included during each therapy.
Lunch will be a typical (or vegetarian) Honduran food. Following the spa and lunch to explore further, and enjoy dinner locally. We will stay the night here in town.
*Copan is the most important cultural destination in Honduras
Day 3
Today we'll enjoy breakfast in Copan before leaving to explore the waterfalls. These waterfalls are very unique and provide you an experience to bath in the caves underneath the waterfalls.
Once we've swam in the waterfall, we'll continue the day by hiking the near-by trails and we'll continue to Lake Yogoa. Lake Yogoa is known as the legendary Laguna of the Lagartos, the only volcanic lake in Honduras, and the largest resevoir of fresh water available to the country.
Lake Yogoa was recognized as a Wetland of UN world interests in 2005. We'll enjoy a small boat ride of the lake and take a tour of Gloria's where we'll enjoy a delicious cup of Honduran coffee.
